New Printers

Added support for the following new printers:

Changes/Additions

  • Net Print Server

Sometimes the main web page showing the previews of the label formats was slow to load and display. This was caused by formats using database files that were inaccessible or had a large number of database records. This has been corrected. (bug 1750)

  • Memory Card Download

When creating label formats that are designed to be downloaded to a printer, the user interface allowed using the barcode wizard and also allowed for creating multi-source text and barcode fields. This was incorrect as these field types cannot be downloaded to the printer. This user interface will now disable these if the format is designed for downloading. (bug 1745)

  • EASYLABEL User Interface

If a user had only “Print” authorization, the menu still showed the “New Database” and “Open Database” options as allowed. Choosing one of those actually opened a “Job List File” instead. Fixed to not allow for choosing the database menu items. (bug 1692)

  • Fields Currently Defined

In the “Format Specification” window it shows the “Fields Currently Defined”, which is the number of fields on the label format. Selecting this item caused the value to disappear. The value is read-only and cannot be changed. Fixed so that the value appears even when selected. (bug 1713)

  • cab Printers and RFID

Added the ability to write to and read from EPC Gen2 RFID tags on the cab Squix and Hermes Q printers. This includes settings tag passwords and locking tags. (bug 1564)

  • Field Property List

In some cases the field property list was not changed to read-only mode when printing label formats. In the print preview window no changes should be allowed to field properties. This has been fixed. (bug 1753)

  • Zebra Downloaded Formats

Fixed several issues when downloading label format files to a Zebra printer. In some cases the downloaded format did not prompt for the field data. Barcode data sometimes did not match the human readable underneath the barcode. (bug 1754)

  • Sato RFID Labels

Sometimes label fields might print in the wrong location when the label contained an RFID tag. This was due to an incorrect media size being sent to the printer. This has been corrected. (bug 1755)

  • QR Code

In rare cases of printing or displaying a QR Code, an error may cause a crash. This has been corrected. (bug 1758)
